WELCOME TO 2012!
Time flies as usual and I hope everybody is having a great year so far.
After a relaxed opening to the year things hot up nicely in March. I’ll be joining all my brothers & sisters for a truly unique series of concerts in Poland on the 6/7/8 March in Warsaw and Poznan. It will be a real eclectic mix of traditional, classical and world music and promises to be a real memorable occasion.
Don and I will be doing a pre St. Patrick’s Day concert in Nantes on March 15th and I will be re-joining Carmina for a series of gigs in Holland on the weekend of March 23-25. I’ll keep you posted for upcoming dates later in the year.
The Cherish the Ladies album, Country Crossroads, featuring The Malbay Shuffle is doing very well and it’s great to hear the track played on dobros, flutes, piano accordions etc and I recently got news that Above and Beyond will feature in a documentary on Irish dancing in Australia to be aired on TG4 and other networks in the near future. Look out for that one !!
All the best,
Diarmaid
